Why choose Heartland Containers?
How do I know what container I need?
Heartland Containers have a very experienced team who can help you find the container that best suits your needs whether it is for storage or modification.
How can I transport my container once I have hired or purchased it?
You can arrange your own transport or we can have our team arrange it for you. The container can be delivered by Hi-Ab/Crane truck or Swinglift truck. We can help you choose the best form of transport.
Do I need to get permission from the council to place my container?
All councils have different regulations so we would suggest that you contact your local council to clarify any local regulations you might not be aware of.
How do I pay for my newly hired or purchased container?
For a first time customer hiring a container, payment is to be received prior to delivery of the container and will be charged for the first month and the cost of transportation to and from your premises. After this initial payment, charges are to be paid monthly. Purchased containers will be paid for prior to delivery. All payments can be made by Credit Card or Online Banking.
How long can I hire a container for?
There is no limit to how long you can hire a container for but 30 days is the minimum hire period.
How do I return my container?
Once you no longer require a leased container just give our office a call and we can come and collect it for you. If you could let us know in advance, we can arrange collection for a time that suits. Alternatively, if you have the means to return the container just give us a call to let us know when you will be returning the container.
Will the contents stored in my container have a build-up of condensation?
It is best to use a dry pole if the items you are storing already have moisture present in them. A dry pole will absorb moisture from the air within the container. Have a chat to our sales team to see if this is something you might require.
How should I prepare the area for a container to be delivered?
Your area will need clear access for the delivery truck and the ground that the container is to be placed on will need to be solid and firm. If the container is to be kept on a grassy area or paddock, we suggest placing it upon blocks or railway sleepers to allow air to circulate beneath the container.
Can I send my container overseas?
Containers we lease or hire cannot be taken overseas but new containers purchased from us can be taken overseas so long as you obtain a valid cert to prove it is seaworthy. We can help out with the certification process just talk to one of our sales team.
How much space do I need to place my container?
You will need to make sure that there is enough space for either a SWING LIFT or HIAB
Swing Lift 20ft (Height: 5m / Width: 6m Length: 10m)
HIAB 20ft (Height: 7.5m / Width: 5m / Length: 10m)
Am I able to collect and deliver my own container?
Yes. You can collect and deliver your own container as long as you have the equipment to do so.
What are the container sizes?
We stock 20 and 40ft containers but can build 10ft containers on request. We can also modify any container to suit in our workshop.
Do I need to insure my hire container?
If you have valuable items in your container then we would recommend insuring the contents and the container. Contact your insurance company to discuss your options with them. We can install lock boxes to ensure that padlocks aren’t easily tampered with which has the added bonus of further protection against theft.
Can I get a container painted in any colour I want?
Yes we can paint your container in any colour you wish but would recommend you steer away from darker colour as they will absorb the heat from the sun.
